"Great hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Had a nice meal and amazing breakfast in the Marco Pierre white restaurant with a lovely panoramic view of Plymouth Hoe and out to sea . My only criticism would be the evening meal in the Marco Pierre restaurant was not at the standard I expected because my the Cod I had with my meal was tasteless . I would highly recommend this hotel and would book again . "

"Lovely hotel just a short walk from the Hoe (lighthouse) and The Barbican. Friendly welcome, clean, comfortable, and spacious room. Quiet. Breakfast was excellent as well. Highly recommend!"

"This is a wonderful, grand, historic building and retains the ambience of Victorian grandeur, even though there are a few scuffs and scrapes and rusted ironwork!. The reception staff were extremely welcoming and efficient and this was the case with all staff that we encountered including the breakfast staff. The room was beautifully decorated and fitted and was very comfortable with all amenities that you could want. Lots of sockets by the bed as well. Our room benefitted from a superb sea view. The breakfast was very good, though veggie/vegan sausages would have been a welcome addition. For the price we paid, this hotel was an absolute bargain and we would love to return here again. Perfect location for anyone visiting Plymouth."
