"From day of arrival the tap water stank so badly we could not even shower. On the morning of day 3 a person arrived and told me he had switched tanks and added chlorine but smell was still the same. We decided to leave 4 days early"

"The property is only half finished. It is 5star accommodation on a building site. Luciano who was the main man there could not have been more generous with his time and hospitality, and he turned what might have been an average stay into a pleasant stay. The roads or should I say dust tracks to get to the property are interesting and we had great times on the quad bikes scooting around on them. Ponto de Ouro was a fascinating place. Very much a seaside village, where bargaining is very much part of life."

"The booking I had requested to be changed to 31 December was booked for 31 January and we had no accommodation for the evening of the 31 December. This I discovered when I informed the person who works for or owns the lodge on the 31st of December that we would see him that evening. I am still waiting for my refund as he then informed us he is fully booked so can no longer assist us. He also said it was my responsibility to check the invoice to make sure he had put the correct date on it even though in my message to him I clearly stated the 31st December."
