“Standard British pub experience. Worryingly poor on cleanliness and state of room (e.g. broken shelf in bathroom). Good mateess. Host unable to find room at first. Host did not respond to message on Expedia reserving table and nothing reserved. Dinner basic pub fayre. Breakfast forced to choose between toast or cereal or full English. Good range of beer but unable to advise on local gin. Pub well used by locals and good atmosphere. Lovely situation in centre of village. Quiet.”

The room was comfortable, well furnished and equipped to a good standard. Breakfast cooked by Kevin was excellent with generous, well cooked portions.
