I was not pleased with the the front desk lack of information. It felt like it was their way to impose added charges. As a VIP guest I had the option for an upgrade the lady at the front desk gave me a higher floor to count toward the upgrade when all I needed was a bigger bed accommodation. She said she could only count the higher level as an upgrade and I would need to pay additional for a bigger bed. No other option. She was not helpful and just stared at me with a patronizing smile. So disappointed. If staying here ask more questions or ask for a manager although I think she was the manager.

Ive stayed here once before and both times left much to be desired. Neighborhood a bit sketchy and unhoused person screamed at my dogs upon arriving. I get you cant do much about that but worth mentioning. Dog friendly but zero features for the dog friendly room or mention of them aside from checking out that we’ll be charged for them. No parking is wild, and wish that was more clearly communicated. You’d think garnering a 4 star classification that a basic amenity like on-site parking would be a feature. Room was tiny. Worst part for me was the cups in our room were disgustingly unclean with lipstick marks around the rim of the cup (even took pics). As a germophobe this gave the whole room the ick for me because if you cant do something as basic as wash the cups, what else is missed. And this wasnt like water spots from dish washer, this was like not even checked or considered and left between multiple room flips with blatant lipstick. Staff was more cordial than friendly Ive stayed in almost every decent hotel in portland. Ill take Hotel Zags over this every time, even Hotel Rose or Heathman.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Everyone we met from the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large, clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The location is very accessible to the Tri-Met and Streetcar systems and is a non-transfer ride in the from the Airport. It is also convenient to get to the major attractions because of this. There are a number of very good dining spots located within close proximity to the hotel and we had not problem finding a variety of places to try out.

Nice hotel, lovely room and location. Watch for resort fees. The beverages and cruiser bikes were not offered and we found out when we were leaving. We did enjoy the lobby coffee service.
