  • It's a Friday night, leaving the office on way to my car, I came across this view of downtown Providence. I really like the drama in the sky, dark ominous, foreboding. And it stands in such stark contrast to the bright, well lit buildings.

When I checked in , I was Given a Room with a shared bed upstairs, I went out and came back to find out someone payed more for Privacy and i was downgraded to a room with 4 people and in a corner bed with 1 pillow No air conditioning just a fan. That was my experience.

The owners were really nice, the wi-fi worked great, the kitchen is large and functional, but the house needs improvements. There are only two bathrooms for everybody (I'm guessing over 20 people if the hostel is full), and shower and toilet are not separate, which makes them even more difficult to use. In my room there was no AC or even a fan. Luckily it was not bad during the evening, but it was very warm before sunset. I also believe the price is not fair for what you get. Beds, mattresses and pillows look very cheap, so they should definitely charge less.

Staff at this hostel were so lovely and helpful. They really went out of their way to make sure that I was taken care of, and that I could enjoy the local area
