Max and his family were the perfect hosts. This is a great family run bnb that is a great location off the main strip. Coffee was always brewing in the early hours when we were setting off for diving and tours. Restaurants and locations where tours start are just a walk away. Also very close to some very cute off the strip cocktails and food at bohemian bar and agave studio.

Loved staying at Captain Max's Hostel. It was welcoming, clean and the room was spacious. Captain Max is the kindest man and very accommodating. He was friendly and made a delicious breakfast in the morning. Additionally, the location is great and just a street over had a strip of great seafood restaurants. Our stay was great and the value for the money was excellent.

Very comfortable stay. Even with language barrier the staff did their best to make our stay as smooth as possible. Breakfast was great! Rooms were spotlessly clean and staff went above and beyond to help in anything. The location of the hotel is also very convenient for the ferry and all of the attractions in Santa Cruz island.

This hotel is conveniently booked close (but not too close) to the busiest parts of Santa Cruz- so you can get around easily, but it’s not too loud. The only noise to be aware of is the school nearby- which we found endearing and not disruptive. There is a simple but tasty breakfast offered. And the staff were helpful in arranging a taxi for an early morning check out. A fun but sometimes disruptive part of the rooms are the hammocks- but even when it got in the way, I still enjoyed the character it brought to the room. Overall, I’d recommend!

This B&B was a great find. Very convenient to the main avenue without all the noise. Less than a 10 minute walk to the ferry dock. Great variety of dining options all around and many shops and tour agencies. The rooms were very clean, air conditioned, hot water available for showers, well decorated and provided a very homey feel to them. The breakfast was basic but was enough to start the day. Max was a very helpful and thoughtful host when it came to accommodating us in the best rooms and on offering advice on excursions. I would definitely stay here again when i come back to Santa Cruz and would recommend it to everyone.

Lovely at home feel with Max, Lourdes, and their Son. Beautifully decorated, boutique experience. If we could have stayed in Galápagos longer would 10/10 book again. Location was perfect, especially for seeing the wildlife, ice cream, and quick 6km runs to the beach!

The hostess is excellent. We make me feel right at home. Make sure you bpok a good tour, breakfast is served everyday. The location is really convenient to everywhere. Definitely come back from to stay here again

Stayed here again for a day before catching a flight. No frills accommodation but with all the essentials needed for a very comfortable stay. Captain Max helped with late checkout without asking any questions. Great place! Great location!

A great property within walking distance from all the restaurants etc. They have a basic breakfast which does the job. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. They even allowed us to get into the room very early after our ferry arriving into Santa Cruz.

I wish I could rate 10 stars to Captain Max. The bedroom comfort, quietness, cleanliness, and location made our stay extremely enjoyable. But Max attentions were over the top every day. The best stay out of the 3 islands we stayed in the Galapagos

Would stay again for sure

We stayed several times here over a couple of weeks moving around the Galapagos. Max and his brother were lovely, helpful and ran a tight ship! It’s also a solid central location.
