This resort was disappointing, the food was terrible .My trip fell during a tropical storm, it rained every day. While I don't hold the resort responsible for the weather, I do feel they did a horrible job at adapting. I would have liked to see more indoor activities. There was nothing to do but sit in the room, drink or eat. The 3 bars that opened at 10am were outside and you had to walk throuh the storm to get a drink. The inside bar did not open until noon. On my last day at the resort I booked an excursion with a tour operator inside the lobby who charged us $80 USD for a tour that included round trip transportation to the mall in Cancun. When the van arrived to pick us up, the operator instructed us that we would would attend a Tequila tasting, go to a handy market and possibly attend the mall if there was time. When we expressed we were not interested in the tequila tasting we only wanting to shop the operator said it was required we attend because the tequila shop had actually paid for the entire tour and that's why it was being offered for free in hopes that the tourist would spend money there. I was shocked that the tour was free, yet we were charged $80 and it was not even the activity we were promised. I asked the hotel staff to get involved and facilitate a refund on my money since I was scammed and they initially refused saying the tour company was a 3rd party. Unacceptable. It was resolved eventually but this was a terrible ending to a terrible vacation.
