This resort is adorable! So fun and authentic! We love the easy access to town and being able to walk places. The food is good plenty of fruit and the omelette and sandwiches rocked! The water pressure was great. The staff was amazing very authentic and fun. Hugo rocked as our pool side bartender. Would stay again. Water aerobics was amazing too super fun! Beach was super fun and easy access. Only recommendation was to bring eye mask as it is pretty light in the rooms.

The room is dated and needs alot of up keep but it was very clean. The cleaning staff do an amazing job and are very friendly. The hotel is very unique covered in large palapas and the adults only pool is very nice with beautiful Palm Trees. The serving staff are very friendly and want to make your stay memorable. The only downside to our stay was a few vacationers hog the loungers by putting their towels on them early in the morning and then disappearing until later in the day and in doing so are depriving other quests of enjoying the pool side area. There was a lot of food but some of it was questionable as to flavor and texture. Best location on the beach though.

Staff were very nice specially thomas from the receiving area, the housekeeper (forgot her name) and the bartenders near the buffet area. Location is great, close to the airport, shopping area and downtown. The room is ok, bathroom looks old and saw baby cockroaches in the washroom, bed and everywhere. Probably our first and last stay here

I just recently traveled to peurto vallarta. I had an amazing time.The hotel staff was exceptional.The rooms were exceptional. I felt safe everywhere that I went because there was staff.Available 24/7.They catered to me like I was a queen. I will be returning within the next few months and will be staying at the same hotel.

Food was terrible. Drinks were ok. Some staff were really good while others rude. We were not told when we made reservations that the main large pool was closed, so the only pool that was open was the small adults only with tons of kids.

When we first arrived, checking in at the office I initially thought what the hell are we in for. However, our room was great One patio door led to a patio looking strait out at the ocean. We also had a patio door looking straight out to the pool The staff were great Thomas was fantastic Guadalupe made sure we were happy by the pool with beverages Saul with the entertainment group was so much fun This is an older, rustic, more Mexican type of resort. If you are the Beverly Hills Hilton type of person, don’t book here If you are more laid back with the glass half full type of person Las Palmas is a fine resort Food always seems to be an issue when it comes to reviews. We had no problem always finding something to eat. In summation Based on our standards, Room. 10/10 Clean Comfortable AC worked great Service: 8/10 Restaurant service was great Bartenders were great Cleaning staff was great Front desk staff were ok Entertainment group staff were great My only concern is there were quite a number of the staff in general who spoke no or very little English Sometimes communication was difficult Nightly entertainment: Most nights were quite good Could use less karioki nights but that’s just my opinion Would I stay there again? Yes I would Would I recommend it to you reading this? Very hard to answer that because I don’t know what your expectations are or how la te da you are But if want to experience a resort with a more traditional Mexican vibe, it was a good place.

This is an aging property with an overall good staff—especially in the kitchen and wait staff. The food ranges from good to very good. The rooms were good and the maid service was excellent. It can be noisy at night because of the public beach. You may need to call down to the lobby to have security quiet the public and/or guests after 11 PM. The general manager was responsive when expressing concerns, but the lobby personnel were only adequate.

The hotel is good value for money. Very clean with nice facilities- pool, spa (massage), and rooms. Excellent location close to downtown and on the beach. The a la carte dining options were great and the New Years Eve Party exceptional. But the food offered in the buffet was mediocre at best and never changed from day to day. This isn't a complaint but a comment- if you do not speak Spanish, this is not the hotel for you. Most staff members, including the front desk and guest services do not speak English. Most guests are Mexican tourists, which is great because they are friendly and lots of fun, but as a result resort programming had very limited English. This was surprising to me because of the many visits I have made to Vallarta over the years I have found almost all people working in tourism to have excellent English. A language barrier is one thing but on a few occasions it seemed staff did not want to assist us at all because we did not speak Spanish. This was particularly evident during check out when we asked if there was somewhere we could leave our luggage as we had a late flight. We were told no. As we were standing in the lobby trying to decide what to do- we were approached by the bell hop who was very happy to take our luggage into storage.

We really enjoyed our time. We stayed 11 nights. The first night we didnt arrive until 7ish at night. The front counter staff were not helpful. They didnt tell us where to go, they didnt explain where anything was nor did they give us the lock for the safe. They have us the brochure with all the info in Spanish. We went back down and they finally gave us one in english. We really enjoyed the small authentic feel to the place. Theres not a huge selection of food, but whats there is delicious. . I would definitely recommend people to bring ear plugs for bedtime, as the rooms are not sound proof at all. The hotel is very family friendly, so its loud alll the time. Rooms are very clean ! Also the night time entertainment was not the best . We loved some of it like the authentic mexican dancing . But other nights we not so great . .
