The apartment was dirty, a lot of dust and mold. The bed sheets were yellow and stained; Bathroom was rusty and moldy too, not to mention that while my husband was taking a shower a cockroach flew on his head from the shower roof. Also, THIS IS NOT part of the hotel, this is a private apartment that somebody is renting and they just told us that at the moment we checked inn so you don’t have any benefits from the hotel that is Ancora not Fishing Lodge (the front desk couldn’t even provide us for the pool). Breakfast is BAD and unsanitary, flies in the food, no AC and they charge you like a high end hotel and they are not.

There was no reception to contact which the Fishing Lodge advertises on Expedia. We left calls and emails as did Expedia to no avail. We did not have wifi which is also what it advertised as included amenities. We did not have a sea view either! The hotel Ancora were a little helpful but they have nothing to do woth the Fishing Lodge. They should not be allowed to advertise on Expedia as their advertising falsley and also can not be contacted. Extremely unhappy and disappointed as this is the first time I have booked accommodation with Expedia! I will not be doing so again!

When I got to the room I was very disappointed to see that there were many things broken and the smell was very unpleasant. The furniture is all dirty, the sofabed is broken and the tv is not working properly. The a/c went off before noon. The Place is not up to par with Cap Cana and the experience we have had in the past.

We were surprised that there was no one responsible for the apartment, we didn't have anyone to call because we should have been in contact with the owner but we reserved through expedia, how could we have known who is the owner?? my husband was even asking for a reimbursement! we only stayed one night and paid for 2.

Completely unreasonable and not customer friendly.

I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. The "gentleman" in charge of sales is completely unreasonable and doesn't answer his phone. I had a family emergency and this person was totally unmoved.by my situation. What a shame. This experience has left me with a bad taste for punta cana. I felt I was violated and robbed of a good chunk on money. Good luck If you choose this hotel.

Far out, literally!

I will start by saying that it is a beautiful condo, but it is a ghost town. I did not feel safe after dark going to the room. The Fishing Lodge is ran by an all inclusive resort ( Alsol) but you do not receive all inclusive benefits. Eating at the buffet cost way more than it is worth. A cab ride to Punta Cana cost $120.00. Our safe was broken, the sink was clogged and had standing water and the dryer did not work. I ask the front desk to have these things repaired and they told me that they did not manage that property, I would have to contact the owner. How? I still do not know! We had maid service to refresh the towels only on the next to last night we stayed. We wanted to take an evening swim around 8 o'clock p.m. and was told the pool was closed but they played loud music every night until about 11p.m.right down from our condo. The in room wifi is $12 daily but you can only get service if you are standing up against the wall in the guest bedroom. You must have a car or deep pockets to get anywhere here, nothing is in walking distance.

The fishing lodge at Cap Cana was very nice. Unfortunatly the name was changed to Alsol so it was very confusing for us upon arriving. you should update your website. Our unit that we rented was privately owned so it was impossible to get any service on our appliances . The dryer didn't work. The toliet in the master bath didn't work, Several common appliances such as Hair dryer,coffee maker,towels were in available in the unit.

I absolutely loved this place! It was 100% perfect

I absolutely loved this place ! Itwas 100% better than I ever expected. The food was gourmet and cooked by master chefs. the property was immaculate just like the rooms. Loved everything about it.

Perfect view for a one bedroom apt

The hotel room is someone's appartment that they rent out so the hotel doesn't have anytging to deal with the quest besides checking them in and out. Room and view was perfect. Ac didnt work called to the office and this is when I found out it's not really a hotel no cleaning of room or if anything happens oh well so good luck if nothing breaks. Hotel front counter staff not helpful at all the ladies at the little desk was. Everything at the resort was high in price and not worth it. The guards walking around was ok but to drive into the compound was long from everything
