Views and restaurants are the good aspects here. Rooms weren’t very clean. I went through 4 rooms before I found the most descent during my check in process. Around 6 pm after going through multiple dirties beds, floors and poor essentials such as lack of towels, blankets, etc. After all these months inconveniences we were given a family suite which was pretty big and comfortable, however not very clean. Buffet was very simple, no variety, everyday was the same. Restaurants were delicious, hard to reserve but great food and outstanding service. Mosquitoes were insane, and other insects at the room (not many) but we had bedbugs and a roach..Rest of the resort is pretty, views are amazing, they just need to get rid of this “vacation marketing and sellers” which will get you offering free goodies and free excursions, but all they do is get you for hours (we were 5 hours) listening to q charla, very money hungry people. If you don’t buy them a package good luck with the “free goodies”. The beach is beautiful however you cannot stay in peace, literally every 5 mins you get someone bothering you and insisting in selling you anything including excursions and much more. Entertainment was okay but not like they show in the pics here. I was there for 7 days and the only good show we saw was Michael Jackson which was amazingly good. After 10:30 pm party is over, you can go to the lobby for music, drinks, and mosquitoes bites andBe ready to get “mouth, hand and feet disease” my son did👎

Pros: Beautiful property. Nice beach. Room was clean and comfortable with strong air conditioning. Cons: Awful Buffet food-for me nearly edible (tried it the first night then only went ala carte) ate it the last night and got food poisoning prolonging my journey home. (A la carte restaurants are better, but they book up fast.) Only one towel check out location on HUGE property is a major inconvenience. Pools don’t open until 8am and CLOSE at 7pm-that was a major disappointment. They charged $43 for sunscreen! Does not have airport pick/up transfer. They keep your bags in the hot sun until you check in at 3pm and I watched them only allow early check ins to people who upgraded. (I asked for 3 hours and repeatedly told “No rooms are clean yet.” Employees were friendly and helpful, EXCEPT at check in and when needed in room safe fixed (waited for 2 hours and they never sent anyone). This is my only D.R. resort experience so not sure if this is typical. While I did enjoy floating in the beach and pools that was it, I prefer Cancun for this type of vacation by far-especially for near by activities and transportation and food quality.

I went with my family (toddler and baby) and the food at the buffet was mediocre. You could always find something to eat but it wasn’t the greatest. The restaurants were really good but the service wasn’t the greatest. The room smelt very musty and the pillows smelt like sweat. We also didn’t receive blankets (only sheets) the first night and we were very cold, had to get a blanket the next day. Won’t clean your room until the very last moment unless you tip. People were all very friendly and were great with the kids. Would not go back but still had a good time!
