We booked last-minute, arrived to a gorgeous room, went to the concierge desk and they immediately booked five days’ worth of terrific dinners for us, including a Michelin. At every turn, from the gifts at turndown to the housekeeping to the hotel bar, it was pure luxury. Negresco is undoubtedly the luxe way to go in Nice. "

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Vacances Bleues le Royal. The hotel has an authentic French feel with antiques, chandeliers, and elaborate mouldings. The rooms are more modern- the bed was very comfortable and the balcony looks out onto the Mediterranean. The only issues we had were that the bathroom lights didn’t work- we let the front desk know and they were supposed to send a workman to our room to check it out, but never did. The other issue was that the air conditioner did...

The hotel is in a good location with the main restaurant area being a 5min walk, the tram link is about 5mins and Nice train station is about 10mins walk. Staff were very friendly and helpful. "The location is amazing and only one street off the main Promenade, so great for a visit to Nice. Fortunately we had a nice corner room with windows, but the rooms and overall interior are very dated and a bit dingy. They should replace the mattresses soon. No closet, but at least there was a small refrigerator and a coffee maker! They do have a lounge with seating for breakfast and a very nice small terrace for drinks at the end of the day. Staff was very friendly. "
