Lovely stay at the Balmoral Lodge! We had the greatest view of Queenstown and the lake from our room. Room was very clean and the host was so delightful! Would certainly recommend to anyone visiting.

The view is absolutely amazing. We didn’t have a car but there was ample parking space. One can easily tell that there’s years of experience behind the excellent service. Little personal touches made our stay even more pleasant.

Balmoral Lodge was the perfect place to stay in Queenstown. The location is unbeatable—close to town but peaceful with stunning lake and mountain views. The facilities were spotless and well-equipped, and the space felt warm and comfortable. What really stood out was the incredible hospitality—so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We felt right at home. Would 100% stay here again. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay at Balmoral Lodge. The lodge is in a beautiful location overlooking the lake. The property is a little dated but the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed.

Beautiful property, close to the city centre however far enough away you’re not in the chaos. Amazing views from the room. The staff and owner were so lovely and their little dog Benji was very welcoming. Would definitely be staying here again when we come back!

The Balmoral Lodge was a great spot for our Queenstown stay. Although it was up the hill, it was quite convenient and provided a beautiful view of the lake. Our stay was wonderful and would highly recommend it to visitors. We also really appreciated on-site parking!

Great location with wonderful views of the lake, Cecil peak, Walter peak, the town and the gardens. Perfect housekeeping and the laundry and kitchen were very useful. And besides the great view, had a great sleep too. Wonderful place to come back to!

Perfect spot

Every detail is attended too. Muffins and tea in my room in the morning and snacks and cocktails in living room in the evening. Views were amazing and landlady went above and beyond to be helpful to me. Loved this place. A little piece of serenity.

Room was wonderful. Loved the daily muffins. It is a steep climb to the property from downtown. Good hike or take a cab back. Very comfy bed. Limited kitchen access but was able to use microwave w owner’s permission.

Pictures of the views for Thai place didn’t do this place justice. Our views from our windows were gorgeous! The Hostess was very nice and receptive to our needs. Although the house was on a busy street, we didn’t feel like the place was too noisy. Easy walking distance to downtown, bit of a climb coming back from CBD. Highly recommended for extended stays, just make sure you plan for breakfasts.

The host and staff were incredibly friendly. The highlight of the hotel was the stunning lake view. Waking up to the serene beauty of the lake each morning was a real treat. Also there is a lovely garden with beautiful flowers, It was such a delight to enjoying tea or wine while soaking in the lake view. Although the hotel is a bit distant from downtown, it's only a 10-minute walk away. And if you prefer, taking an Uber is quite convenient and affordable, costing just NZ$9.
