Frostastaðavatn is a lake in the Highlands of Iceland, not far from the famous mountains of Landmannalaugar and the volcano Hekla. Frostastaðavatn is Icelandic for "lake of the frosty place". No frost there in early September, but I can only imagine what it looks like in Winter! Anyone going to Landmannalaugar should definitely make a stop here. The views here and near this location are stunning and otherworldly!
Drone shot of awesome Sigöldugljúfur - Valley of tears in Iceland. You need to get proper 4x4 car to get there but its really worth it. Not to mention that there will not be a lot of tourists or probably none at all so you can enjoy raw #nature at peace :)

These igloos were so cool! Our only issue were the door handles. The property had to provide instructions on how to use the handle and it was not real helpful. Really great hotel, perfect spot to see the Aurora. A little out of the way and not close to any restaurants but that’s what makes it a good spot for the Aurora because of a lack of light pollution. The hotel restaurant is good.
