Fabolous room, very old world luxurious feel. Huge room with hard wood furnishings, heavy blackout curtains and aircon. Large bath/shower, 4 poster bed. Would recommend if travelling through the area

Stunningly beautiful restored hotel

This hotel is awesome. Restored to original with modern conveniences. It it stunningly beautiful, the rooms are comfortable with large 4-poster beds, lounges, spa baths, air con, block-out drapes, etc. the location is awesome, walking distance to the river, Main Street cafes and shops, the Great Western Pub, etc. loved our time at this hotel.

Quaint Rooms with fantastic restaurant opposite

We booked a lovely room for one night on our week long road trip from Brisbane to Airlie Beach. The room was exactly what we expected, really quaint and ideal for one night. We asked the receptionist if she could recommend anywhere nearby to have a great steak and were recommended to the Great Western, directly opposite the hotel, which was very lively and served fantastic food. As an added bonus, as we were able to walk to the restaurant, I was able to have a drink with my meal.
