Røldal is a village in the municipality of Odda in Hordaland county, Norway. The village lies in the Røldal valley along the Storelva river on the north end of the lake Røldalsvatnet. #LikeALocal #AboveItAll #GreatOutdoors #OnTheRoad
The Roldal Stave Church was built between 1200 and 1250, and is famous for its healing crucifix still in the church. According to legend it sweats once a year on “Olsok” (July 6th after the Julian calendar), and the sweat has healing power. The church is beautifully decorated, and is still the parish church for Røldal. Guided tours during the summer season. #Roldal #stave #church #OnTheRoad

Cozy cabin, shared bathroom in the main building but knew that going in. Good location next to a park on a lake surrounded by beautiful scenery. Shared spaces were very clean. Room was small but clean and comfortable.
