“We picked this place at random online, coming in from a 10 day cruise to Southampton. Booking online sight unseen is always a gamble, but this time we hit the jackpot. Totally charming English countryside inn, fantastic food, stunning rooms, very comfy pub, and amazing staff. I'd be remiss if I didn't single out Kate and Tahir, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. I can't recommend this place highly enough!”

“Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. “Loved this place and the people. It is a little far from main attractions, Salisbury and Stonehenge. About 10-15 miles. But it is so charming. Food is fantastic and building is historic. Be sure to have right converters for plugging things in as there are no USB ports in the rooms. No AC and we arrived during a short heat wave. Bed very comfortable and the soaking tub in the room was great for cooling down.”

If a client is using derogatory foul audible language aimed at women in the bar area they should be asked to stop by the manager/bar tender - it’s not pleasant to be subjected to this if you’re sitting quietly trying to enjoy your own drink .
