"We stayed in a very spacious room which worked well for a family. The room was much larger than expected, with huge, comfortable beds and plenty of space to spread out. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels, and overall the room was practical and comfortable.
Breakfast was included, which we appreciated, especially with children. I would not say it was something to rave about, but it was convenient and there was enough choice: cereal, toast, juice, coffee, water, plus hot items such as omelettes and sausages. The hot food felt quite budget/basic, but it did the job.
The location on Elgin Street was reasonably convenient, with restaurants and pubs nearby. We particularly liked the pub directly opposite and ended up using it both evenings. One note for anyone doing the boat tour: it may be easier to board from the bottom of the lock gates rather than walking across the bridge, although the Canadian Museum of History is well worth visiting.
The hotel was also helpful with parking. We had a very large hire car, and they were able to give us an outside parking space, which made things much easier.
Overall, this was a practical, comfortable and good-value stay rather than a luxury one, with the room size, helpful parking and convenient location being the main positives."
