“We liked the view it was fantastic. The bed was very comfy, Beautiful high ceilings, the breakfast on the rooftop was very nice. Convenient access to a swimming platform just outside the hotel, It was magical to swim in the Aegean. The wifi was terrible, dropped out every 20 seconds. Had to ask for our Nespresso pods, only one small bottle of water on day two. No corkscrew or wine glasses in the room. When we arrived there was a bowl with sweets but they were taken away before we could...

“We were very surprised this is a Michelin key hotel. Yes, it had recently been renovated with lots of marble. Small rooms. Bad breakfast with tiny bufffet. Pool tiny and unclean. Hamman only by appointment. Check in person was arrigant and left us waiting while she did other things. Felt very disrespected.”

“We were welcomed to the beautiful, restored townhouse that is Hotel Ploes, by its owner, Lina and her little dog. Nothing was too much trouble, from the provision of information about Syros to phoning taxis for us. Her restaurant recommendations were excellent, as was her very worthwhile recommendation to visit the town's art gallery which was exhibiting some of the work of the famous Greek sculptor, Theodoros Papagiannis. Her authored novel, Konstantza, Tales of Vaporia - provided in our room...

“The was a great view of the port and a little nook in the window to sit. The hotel had great character. The best part was the helpful staff that went out of their way to make the experience the best. We love Syros and the Aktaion Hotel. We will stay there on our next visit for sure.”
