"This was misleading advertising on Hotels.com. I selected a tent with 2 queen beds and a bunk bed for about R1700. Just before we arrived I got a call from the hosts and let them know that 2 friends would arrive 30 minutes before us. I was told that I would have to pay an additional R790 for them because they charge extra each person over 2. This was not made clear on the app. This accommodation was not worth over R2,500 for the night. Unhappy guests who feel ripped off."

"We had a magical stay in Firefly cabin. It was tranquil with a delightful view. The wood burning stove was essential and perfect. Great location for visiting the nearby wildlife sanctuaries."

"We had bats living in our roof, apparently knowingly by the owner (they built a house for them on the near cabin and they migrated to ours). We had to go to bed and sleep with constraint scratching and sliding noises, that was terrible. When we brought it to the attention of the team, they didn’t even bother apologising. The dinning experience over dinner and breakfast was terrible - worst service I’ve seen for a while and average food (it’s quite expensive considering its surroundings). Stay...

"What a wonderful place this is.We had an apartment 206.Fully equipped with everything we needed.A beautiful view .Lovely views around the bar near the swimming pool.The staff here were excellent,nothing was too much trouble,The restaurant food is excellent and very resonably priced.SISSY IN THE RESTAURANT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND,what a wonder lady she is. "Self catering room in cottage pie needs a renovation . The windows lead onto the street,so this would make it a security issue if one would like to sit outside. The bedroom is dark and gloomy the bathroom had a broken light. The overall facilities and the staff were very good "

"In general the hotel is very run down. Things falling apart and dysfunctional, including pool area and umbrellas and gardens. The resort is in desperate need of serious maintenance. Also, no wi fi in rooms for a 4 star hotel is not really acceptable. Poor conditions somewhat compensated for by the first class and much appreciated service from Petrus and some of his staff -especially chef and Thabisa."
