The pancakes and french toast were delicious. We didnt have a beach view from the room but could see it from the dining and pool area. It is very close. We loved hearing the crashing waves at night it was lovely to fall asleep to. ”

“Hotel Cerro Lodge Oh dear…I had a whole ecosystem in my room, and not in a good way. Constantly had medium-large ants coming into my room from the bathroom. Look - I know it’s Costa Rica, and I can handle some ants, but we’re talking about having to step on 30+ ants over the course of two days. The whole room felt like zero money has been put into it to maintain / upkeep the property. Wifi in the room was extremely slow (I ended up just using cellular data instead). Air conditioning worked...

“Nice pool and staff, rooms are big with a nice view, however it's not mentioned anywhere that you have to drive on a gravel road for 3 kms to get here and there's no signal in the area which is not a huge issue since the WiFi works great. Included breakfast is very poor, otherwise if you pay for other options they have good food.”

“Yes, the view was great. The pool was a great temperature, a little cool to refresh us. Plus 1 shower to take sand and sea off and another tap for feet and shoes . Lovely flowers in the garden. Great big fridge in the apartment. Breakfast was served in your room at a pre- agreed time. Every day different fruit and eggs , etc. ”

“El parqueo estaba cerca, la habitación si estaba bien limpiapero olía un poco a humedad lo que si estaba sucio era la piscina, no la pudimos utilizar porque tenia como una capa de grasa me imagino de los bloqueadores de sol de todas las personas que estaban ahípero si deberían limpiarla todos los días o utilizar algún producto paraque eso no pase porque se ve desagradable. “Beautiful area, first 2 days we hardly saw a person. Was good central location to more touristy areas. Staff was great, very friendly. Restaurant was pretty good. ”

“The perdon o ly spoke Spanish, he gave me one towel, nothing else, no control of the water temperature in the shower, and I found two big bugs in the bathroom in the evening. And the bed only had a simple sheet. The breakfast was ni e and simple, and the staff friendly.”

“This place is about 1hour and 45min from SJO and it was the perfect trip for a few days to visit nearby Parrita and Jaco. We wanted a quiet romantic bitoque hotel and it’s exactly what we got. We walked to the beach (about 10-15 min walk) and then relaxed by the pool. The property views were amazing! The room was clean and comfortable. ”
