"Even though the hotel was under construction, our family had a wonderful and restful stay. The rooms was comfortable and our partial view was lovely. Unfortunately, we were not able to enjoy the balcony due to the construction that was ongoing during the day on the floor above us. Overall, the hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful with referring local restaurants and other activities."

"We had an excellent stay at Cape Rey Carlsbad, a Hilton Resort. We traveled with our two three year old twin girls and the whole property felt genuinely kid friendly from start to finish. Check in and check out were both quick and easy. The staff went above and beyond. The restaurant was great, we loved the complimentary coffee every morning, and the little convenience store was stocked with tasty snacks. We spent time at the pool every single day and the girls loved it. The beach service was the highlight of our trip. They set us up with lounge chairs, towels, water, and an umbrella, and it made the whole day effortless with two toddlers in tow. The beach itself is pretty, though there are quite a few rocks, so getting into the water takes a little extra care. Still, we had a wonderful beach day as a family. Rooms were comfortable with a great bed, a mini fridge, and a microwave, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. You have the option to valet or self park. It runs a bit pricey with a $40 daily parking fee and a $35 resort fee, but that is fairly typical these days, and the perks make it worth taking advantage of everything included. We did not get a chance to try the complimentary bicycles this time, so that is on the list for next visit. This is a wonderful home base for families, especially if Legoland is on the itinerary. There are great restaurants nearby and a Ralphs supermarket just a short drive away. We will absolutely be back."
