"It was a good place up 4,000 ft above sea level. Felt cool in the May morning (upper 60’s). The hotel had a coffee walking trail in property. We had a great balcony view of the city. Staff was always very helpful. Good was decent. Prices were in US dollars. There’s no AC in the rooms but it was ok with the ceiling fan at night. Getting to the hotel from downtown can take 45-60 minutes just because of the heavy traffic all over town. Overall good experience."

"From the moment I arrived, the customer service was absolutely top tier. Their attentiveness is impressive. Ed, Andre, and Ulises each made a lasting impression — attentive, and hospitable. The coffee tour was a highlight of the trip; it lasts a few hours and is well worth every minute. I spent a great deal of time at the pool and hot tub, and the grounds are simply breathtaking. The landscaping and atmosphere make you feel like you're in the middle of the tropics. My suite was beautiful— a wonderful place to unwind after a full day. One suggestion: consider offering excursion options for solo travelers, or pairing single guests together so everyone has the opportunity to participate. Additionally, the food left a bit to be desired. Overall, I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a resort experience that delivers on every front. Would love to stay again."

"Selva Verda is in a beautiful location on the Sarapiqui river, slightly further off the tourist trail but a true eco-lodge. Great place to stay to immerse yourself in the Costa Rican rainforest and spot wildlife. We spotted a lot within the lodge area. I would recommend the guided nature hike which took us further into the grounds of the lodge. The guide was very knowledgeable and went at a manageable pace for our group of mixed ages. The swimming pool was good. Rooms are functional and clean and some have great views. The food was slightly disappointing but the location and experience made the stay worthwhile."
