“All of the staff at the Royal Palm are amazing; they helped us to organize an excursion to North Seymour Island that we probably would not have considered, but ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The weather in the hills during our stay was overcast, but was beautiful when we ventured to the pier. “This property is just a few blocks from the Charles Darwin Research property and to food/shopping on the main drag. Some staff spoke enough English to be able to communicate. Others not so much. Google translate worked well! My husband arrived here with a bad case of traveler's sickness. The gentleman was so kind to help us. “I arrived early before my room was available and management graciously allowed me to leave my luggage inside the hotel while I went for lunch and a walk; they also allowed me to rest on a coach in the third floor social room/kitchen which had a nice breeze coming in from the ocean. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.”

Across the street is undeveloped land so we saw several new birds. It is a little over a mile to the harbor so if that’s more of a walk than you’d like, taxis are everywhere.
