If you’re looking for a relaxing experience, where food and drinks are brought over to your lounge chair and they kill you with service, this is not the resort for you. This is a family resort with lots and lots of children. It reminded me of Great Wolf Lodge where kids were running around being very loud and the customer service was a bit lacking.
The week we were there we did not run into any other foreigners. That was fine with us, but just putting it out there that it looks like this isn’t a big destination hotel for Americans or other foreigners.
The hotel seems to be very understaffed. There was one server for the entire pool and one for each beach. At the buffet, there was a woman making handmade tortillas AND preparing tacos at the same time without assistance. She looked overworked. She was very sweet and I felt bad that she didn’t hav
Food - At the Mexican restaurant, the mahi mahi was overdone and dry and the mole was burnt. Both dishes were inedible. We ended up going to town for dinner.
Transportation - The resort is massive. Set aside an extra 30 minutes every time you request a cart from your room to the lobby/ travel time. This was very inconvenient because we spent so much time waiting in the sun for rides.
Pool- there are 3 pools, with 2 being overrun with children. No music at the pools. And no, they don’t serve any meals You’ll have to dry off, change into dry clothes and go to a re
