“Atholl House was great for ourcrecent stay on the Isle of Skye. Initially I was disappointed we could not find a room in Portree but after visiting Atholl House I actually preferred it. There are several hood restaurants nearby, a beautiful view. Close to certain things we wantedvto explore. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious and the person serving was very friendly and helpful. As with many of the places we stayed there was rarely...

“The maintenance of the hotel is in poor condition. The hallway ceiling to our room was partially hanging down and looked like it had some water damage. Our hotel room door looked like it had previously been broken into as it was chiseled away at the lock. There was a stain on our ceiling, my headboard light switch knob had been snapped off so I had a tiny piece of broken plastic that I had to fiddle with to turn it on/off. The bathroom door got severely jammed every time you closed it and had...

“Brae Lea is far more than one would expect. The location is a short walk to the Ferry Terminal at Lochboisdale - yet driving from the north, you feel as if you’re nestled in the foothills of a mountain (because you are). Rupert is an outstanding host, and he doubles as a 5-Star concierge. He helped us sort travel and touring arrangements as well as made breakfast and suggested dinner options. The Brae Lea accommodations are also top drawer. Clean - efficient - spacious - inviting. Full marks...

“Disappointed in this stay. We requested a twin room setup, which was confirmed by the property, but when we arrived, the beds were made up as one bed. There was no soap in the bathroom to wash our hands, so we had to go back to the main guest house to request the complimentary toiletries that the description and check-in guide indicated would be provided for the bathroom. There was only one outlet next to the bed. There was another outlet across from the bed being used by the kettle. ...
