“This is a quaint almost like a boarding house but very VERY far from Acadia. The hour plus drive was torture on really bad roads and locals doing 85 on 45 roads with twists and curves. “Carol and Carl thought of everything! The inn was an old Victorian, thoughtfully decorated in Victorian charm. It had two veranda‘s which my husband and I enjoyed sitting on. Our room,the Emerald room, had a separate door that took us right out to the rear veranda where we ate breakfast, had picnic lunches, and beverages at night. There was a thunder storm one morning during breakfast that provided such a tranquil and relaxing breakfast atmosphere on the veranda. Which brings me to the amazing...

“We planned an Aug '26 trip to Maine months in advance from Florida. Expedia or the rental Mgr requires a credit card to hold the room. Our schedule changed in May '26, so I cancelled the room. On Friday evening 8/7, we get a call from the Mgr wondering where we are. We relayed that we canceled the booking months ago. We were still charged for the nights' stay. This is a fraudulent charge & no way to run a business. Be careful if you have to use your cc to hold a room, then have to cancel.”

“The room was very clean and the shower was great. The bed was more like a double than a queen. Expedia had it listed with breakfast included which was somewhat deceiving. It was barely a continental breakfast. Kitchen with cereal and bread for toast, some fruit. Baked goods were nonexistent. Parking was very tight.”
