Love the history here and the breakfast room has nice amenities.
Stayed one night — perfect for my travel needs! The room was clean, check-in was quick and easy, and it’s a great pet-friendly spot in a convenient location. Would definitely stay again.
This is the second time we have stayed at the Yardarm. I love the retro/vintage feel of this motel and find the bed very comfortable and the room very clean.
Great place and very nice owners. Quaint comfortable hotel attached to a beautiful home. Nice continental breakfast included in a pretty dining room. The owners are very nice, they make you feel at home. Hershel went out of his way to correct a glitch in the reservation that we made through a third party site. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
Great staff. Big room. Nice continental breakfast. Rooms a little hard to keep warm (high ceilings and heat rises!). Took a while for the hot water to show up.
The Yardarm is a wonderful place to stay. This completely redone 1950’s motel has the most comfortable beds, quality bedding and heaps of pillows I wish I could taken home!
The owners are visible every day but not intrusive. Grounds are delightful complete with a fire pit and Adirondack chairs. Wood, fire starter and bug spray are readily available.
If you like to sit comfortably outside your room on a porch, walk your pet in peaceful silence in the woods behind the motel, know your trash is recycled and generally enjoy fresh air and quality comfort the Yardarm is the place for you

family friendly and safe.
Gives a very homey feeling that makes you look forward to coming to your cozy room. great value for the money and easy access to many locations.
Everything was very nice. The beds were quite comfortable. I wish we could have a little more exploring around the rounds like walking areas behind or something.
Perfect for a quick visit to the area. The room was very clean. The communication from the motel was clear and explained exactly what I needed to do to access the room.
Easy checkin with text providing room and code to enter. Clean and spacious in comparison to other similar properties. Bathroom is okay though needs updated. Nice breakfast.

Good choice
Just what I needed - not fancy but with all the basics and very clean! Good value
This is an older motel that is being brought back to life. The room was quiet and comfortable, The fall colors beautiful. We were here only one night just to get a good night sleep before adventuring on. No complaints-it was a little spendy. It was a little different not having a live person to visit with, but it worked. Received a text with the code to get in. Someone set up the continental breakfast, but we didn't see them.

Great, friendly owners who seem committed to improving an older motel. Very accessible and helpful when I had an issue with a loud dog left alone by some inconsiderate guests. It was my mistake in booking at a pet friendly motel but the owners switched my room so I could have a more comfortable stay which was greatly appreciated.
Noisy AC units, uneven floors, thin walls & poor water pressure are to be expected at this price point but the owners have added nice touches including homemade blueberry muffins, a fire pit and nice landscaping which adds charm.
It’s helpful to be next to the dollar general and across the street from a Dunkin’ Donuts. We used this as a base for day trips to Acadia, State parks around the bay, Fort Knox. Easy check in, nice Roku tv set up, microwave & mini fridge. Definitely worth it for the price.
It is a mid century motel, quirky. Room is clean enough, bed is a bit of rock, pillows also seem to have a lot of miles on them. Walls are paper thin, only one other party at the hotel but I could hear him snoring through the wall. Super annoying smoke detector that decided to go of at 1230am and 1am. More concerning it was a residential, not commercial, model from 2005. Stay if you must but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back here again.
The room had a musty/cleaner smell upon entry. The front door had gaps at the top and bottom that the light just poured in. Walls and paneling had areas that needed attention. Only a very thin fleece blanket and bedspread on bed. Bathroom fan did not work. Only had one tiny sink in the bathroom. Only had hooks on walls that coats kept falling off of, no closet. Nothing to put ones' suitcase on. Towels hung on rack over the toilet and no other hooks in the bathroom. They did provide lots of clean towels though. the room was very clean except for a couple spots that it looked like no one cleaned all season like behind the faucet. Definitely not worth the almost $200 per night that we paid for.
