"The ocean view king room is in a state of disrepair. The balcony door does not latch, so a slide lock was added but this does not seal it enough to keep out the stink from the sewage treatment plant. Blinds covered in handprints, grubby walls, water damaged main door, heavily corroded bathroom mirrors, no hot water and a very sad breakfast to boot. We prepaid for one week and left after one night - the property refused any refund (all the booking options we saw were non-refundable) BEWARE."

"I stayed at Izla Hotel last year with a friend. We had an amazing time and no complaints. This year I went with some other people, hoping we would get the same experience. We did the all-inclusive and enjoyed all of the food and drink drinks that we had. The staff were lovely, especially the bartenders. They really went out of their way to get to know us and make sure that we had a great time. The beds were comfortable and we slept well "

"3 weeks before our trip the property reached out saying there was a "glitch" and we would no longer get the 4-bedroom unit on the first floor we paid for. Instead they downgraded us to a second floor 3 bedroom unit with double beds instead of queens. Without any mention of monetary compensation. It took over a week of pleading for them to change it to a 3 bedroom with queen beds. "

"Quiet, safe, very comfy beds... I slept like a baby every night! I enjoyed the area under the Papala, where people gathered for breakfast or just to hang out. Helpful and kind staff."

"While the property had great possibility, sadly the entire stay felt disjointed due to the way things are run. Example- rooftop pool that has no food/bar available…even though there is a restaurant on the rooftop. The hotel advertised that the rooftop bar was open at 3pm, yet we never saw any staff there until the restaurant prepped to open. The staff seemed undertrained and consistently put into circumstances where they were unsure of how to fulfill a request. Again, while the property was nice, I would not recommend returning until management irons out quite a few wrinkles. "
