Easy walking distance to town, beach, clifftop walks and restaurants. Quiet residential location
Very convenient for walking into Sheringham and connecting with North Norfolk amenities by train or bus, easy to get to the beach or stroll through the town
Basic but good value for a stay at the coast. Needs more hooks and shelves to make it easier. Good kitchen facilities. Could have breakfast and a drink. Parking was easy. Bike shed available. Warm enough and bed was comfortable. Great location for walking into town.
I had thought that hostelling was just for young people and still think it is an excellent way for them to experience the world cheaply. However, I am delighted to inform people that in an era when B&Bs have grenerally become too expensive boutiques, the hostelling option is a very worthwhile option and this hostel is excellent - very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and cheap and with great countryside nearby for walking and visiting.
Great facilities, just need to buy better mattress
All the facilities you need to cook, wash and relax. Very comfy sofas in the lounge. Plenty of parking and the location is great for the town and beach. Helpful, friendly staff.
What let it down was the bed. The mattress was far too thin. I could feel the bed frame so didn't sleep well. Maybe fine for a small child, but not great for an adult.
Great location - 2mins from town! Stayed there few times, but looking a litle "tired" now...ie the downstairs wet room needs a DEEP clean - it is clean but stained. And the downstarirs bedroom windows might have some of that sticky stuff put over the glass (at least half way up) so people don't get a fright when the seem me in my boxers!
the place is run down needs decorating badly the showers are poor very tatty never any hot water

The property was very accessible to all surrounding amenities, it was looking rather shabby in places, but overall I would recommend anyone to the property and would definitely return
Very good value, tidy, clean and has good facilities (common room, kitchen, canteen, showers, bike shed etc). Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to Sheringham centre and the beach.
We stayed for 2 nights in a private room with a bank bed and a sink, which was just great for our needs. The bed linen was lovely fresh. All members of staff were very helpful. Continental breakfast which we had on both mornings was lovely, with yummy natural jogurt, selection of flavoured jogurts, cereals, muesli, croissants, toasts, jams, honey, fruits. The sea town with boutiques, bars and pubs, and the sea front were within 5 mins walking distance. Perfect location for exploring the area. Highly recommended.
Overall the hostel was great. Friendly staff, clean rooms and everywhere. Quiet on our visit. Large common areas, pool table, board games, large variety of drinks for sale at reception.
The shower rooms and loos are in the corridor so if you need to get up in the night then maybe you need a hotel. The room doors are heavy and clunk and click when opened and closed which will wake others at night.
Kitchen is well equipped, everything you need to make meals.
A good place overall.
check in was very slow and stressful they could not find my booking i thought we were going to have to find another place to stay. We bought some provisions for making tea and breakfast along with some beer to chill for the beach the following day, but on going to the fridge we found the beer stolen would never use a YHA again
The building and the area outside need a significant upgrade. It is shabby and tired. The hostel was stuffy with a smell of stale perspiration and sweaty feet.
I had to book a twin room as no singles were available and paid £90 for the privilege. Light over the mirror didn't work and I expected an ensuite bathroom. Found it excessively expensive for such basic accommodation and couldn't park in the car park which was completely full.
