โLocation is good, opposite is the ski resort, which has good snow. Overall room was well maintained, public Onsen was nice too. However we came during early ski season, there is barely any restaurants opens. Hotel cafe food is a bit expensive, and not much choice (mainly western). If plan to stay may order half board instead, or tell hotel staff to reserve dinner before 10amโ
โMany hot springs around. Need your own transport to get around. Went off season so maybe the dining options were limited.
Good place to unwind though.โ
โExcellent service and delicious food. The hotel is clearly well run and cared for. The onsen baths in the hotel were the perfect temperature and the location ideal. โ
โThe hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. It was so comfortable for our family of 5 - very homey and welcoming. The tea and treat upon check-in was a nice surprise and delicious. The onsen was a relaxing bonus! And the food was amazing and a wonderful experience. We had 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners and they were all...
โStayed 2 nights and had an AMAZING experience. Dinner was a fantastic experience. We enjoyed embracing the Japanese culture while wearing the Yukata throughout! Onsens were a great time. Highly recommended!!!โ
โLe Ryokan est superbe. Le personnel trรจs serviable et accueillant.les bains trรจs agrรฉables. Exactement ce que nous รฉtions venus chercher et mรชme plus encore โ
"The room is quite old and seems a smoking room, which smells a little. It is quite old and worn-out, not clean. But, it is acceptable given the price in the neighborhood. The lobby is good and spacious."
