"A great find! The room was spacious and well maintained, the host was lovely, and it was a close walk to numerous stalls with a variety of goods and amazing fresh produce. Having a kitchen allowed me to stay in if I wanted, but the apartment was also close to bars and restaurants. There is a close-by bar that plays loud music, but not super late, and I actually liked hearing the local music. The people I met were so friendly! And really, the host was very accommodating and responded to questions...

"This was a complete mess. To start, they forgot about our reservation and had to put us in a temporary room for two days. During this time, there was a blackout that no one thought to update us on. Honestly, that temporary room was the best part of the stay. Our official room had a roach infestation and, when I told the host, he had a fumigation company come and spray while our bags were in there (of course, this ended up with roaches running into one of our bags). "The term Luxury cottage is an insult. The pictures are very misleading.This place is so run down. The staff you can tell is trying hard but obviously the owner cares nothing about customer service or being honest. Our "Luxury cottage" had no microwave, no satellite TV and the kitchen and living room were exposed to heat as there are no windows only loose screening that let lots of bugs in. The couch and beds sit on concrete reminiscent of city jail. I realize this property is in the tropics but...
