White Lace Motor Inn
8/10 Good
"The hotel is a good option as a 3 star hotel. I stayed there five nights and thought it was adequate for my requirements. There is plenty of parking and the continental breakfast was very good. Sebastian was always on hand to help with any queries. The Souths Bowls Club nearby was great for an evening meal or drink."

Sarina Motor Inn
10/10 Excellent
"The location is great and peaceful although 30km/30-minute away from Mackay! Good coffee/restaurants and the Woollies supermarket are just around the corner! Enjoyed the morning walks around the hotel, the Land of Dreams precinct offers a well-maintained picnic spot with clean BBQ facilities! The precinct is built on the old Sarina railways station precinct and houses an arts&crafts centre, a museum and the Mackay regional information centre! All these are just a stone throw from the Sarina Sugar Shed that runs well-crafted information sessions on the sugarcane crashing mills and distillery! Across the Bruce Highway is a well maintained Brewers Walking Trails! Used the Sarina Motor Inn as the base to explore far-away places including the Hay Point Lookout (24km) overlong the huge coal-terminal, Mackay Bluewater Trails and Marina Village and Shipyards, Airlie Beach and even the Hamilton Island! Of course, these required a car, which we rented/collected from the Mackay airport! Overall, too much driving but we have had a great holiday!"
