โThe hosts, Andy and Ann are very friendly and approachable and ready to sort out any issues. I enjoyed the full English breakfast every morning which was cooked to order and a self service area for tea, coffee, toast etc. Since my last visit a couple of years ago the Wi-Fi has been much improved and the small TV has been replaced with a 40" smart TV.
The grounds are always well kept.
The only downside was using Expedia for the first time. They told me my room was booked but Saltburn House...

โThe decor was unusual and interesting. The food was excellent. Having a garden to sit in and have drinks and food outside was also good. Staff were very polite and helpful. Definitely go back and stay.โ
โA well located hotel for the moors, very comfortable accommodation, only downside is that you can hear the people in the next room when they use the bathroom, overall a nice place.โ
โGreat host lovely ensuite room fantastic location especially if going to the outdoor theatre. Breakfast at the cafe 2 doors down was lovely. Definitely stay again โ
โA lovely old country house with delightful and spacious gardens. Breakfasts were superb and the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The host and his staff were at all times friendly and attentive. We'd happily stay again.โ
โGreat stay with my daughter. Couldnโt fault it at all. Itโs a lovely place in such beautiful surroundings, nice bit of an old fashioned feel to it. Staff were brilliant, and all the food was delicious โ
โWe stayed for one night to attend a concert nearby.
I'd booked a while ago and was a little dubious reading some of the recent reviews.
The hotel has a great location and is as you'd expect a Victorian seaside hotel to be, a little dated but that's part of the charm. The hotel boasts commanding views over the bay and close to the castle.
We had 2 rooms booked, both were spacious, clean and seemed to have new furniture.
The staff were lovely.
There's minimal parking, but we managed to park...
