"Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Cost
I wanted to love our stay here, but unfortunately, the Arizona Grand Resort fell incredibly short of expectations.
The Food: Mediocre at best. Room service was expensive and they didn’t even get the drinks right, For a resort of this tier, we expected much higher quality, but the dining options were underwhelming and definitely didn't match the price point.
The Pools & Grounds: The pools were packed to capacity and noticeably dirty. One of the maintenance people was working on the pool adding chemicals while me and my children were in it. Beyond that, many of the property's amenities felt poorly maintained and dated. The entire property simply isn't what I expected based on how it's advertised.
Billing & Cost: To top it off, the final cost breakdown made absolutely no sense. I do appreciate the staffs willingness to try to help and work it out!
The one saving grace was the staff—they were very kind and polite throughout our stay. When I brought up the confusing charges, they mentioned they would work on fixing it, which I do appreciate. However, great service can't fully make up for a dirty environment and subpar facilities.
Overall, it was a pretty poor experience. Between the maintenance issues and the lack of value, we will not be visiting again."
"I loved staying here. Not only did they let me check in early (10AM) but they also were very kind and offered complementary drinks and food from 5:30-7:00 pm daily. I would recommend and stay here every time I come into town."
"This place used to be nice, but now it’s a total dump!! After checking into our room, it was immediately obvious housekeeping either rushed through cleaning it or didn’t care. Then we started noticing the details: raisins on the floor, a dirty sock under the ottoman, an earring along the baseboard, a filthy/moldy shower, and what appeared to be a urine stain running down the bathroom wall. The entire room felt neglected and unsanitary. We went to the pool that evening and noticed the date palms surrounding the area were filled with fruit pods that were dropping all over the deck and into the hot tub. The hot tub water level was extremely low, and there were no towels available. I went to the front desk, and the employee simply said there was no maintenance staff on site (doesn't look like they ever are) and handed me a couple towels. The next morning, the pool area was even worse. Trash from the previous night was still everywhere, wet towels were left on the deck, furniture was scattered around, and there were fake nails, Band-Aids, and hair barrettes on the ground. Again, there were no towels. To make matters worse, there are no nearby bathrooms and hardly anyone, especially the kids running wild around the pool, seemed to leave to use one. Neither day did we witness anyone checking the water quality as required by law. This property has seriously gone downhill and is just gross!!!! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT STAY HERE. You've been warned."

10/10 Excellent
"The outlying areas where the rooms were could use a lift. Walkway was always wet, puddles even. Large bird poop droppings the whole time. Staff was excellent. If i asked for anything they were right there. Liked breakfast at AJs and sandwiches/food was fresh. Facilities were clean. "

"When using adjoining rooms, the door locks automatically when going into the other room. Why have a deadbolt on the door if it locks automatically ? Our entrance door security lock was in position. When we went into our adjoining room, the door locked. We could not get into our room from 10:45 pm to 11:50 pm waiting for someone to unlock it. Everything was in the room. The hotel should at least give a warning to guests. The desk peopld were verh kind as was the man who showed up to unlock it."
