โAs a place to stay on the coast for one night, I was pleasantly surprised. Check-in was quick and host to the point (yet cordial).
It was the room I was impressed by. Laminate flooring (great idea for cleaning!) and modern design with a fitting mural above the bed. Coffee machine was a nice (though standard) touch - simple and worked well.
Turning on heat was easy - using the thermometer vs directly on the unit. Being comfortable wasn't challenging.

โPretty much perfect all around. The room we stayed in was basic and perfectly clean. The hotel had recently been remodeled. This hotel is on the main drag so there was a little traffic noise (I always travel with a white noise generator for just such instances!) but not too bad. The location is in the middle between Nye Beach (ocean) and the bay; we walked to those location. We made the quick drive over the bridge to the aquarium, marine center and Rogue Brewery for dinner. โOcean House is a top notch property. Amazing location on Agate Beach. Our accommodation was spacious, clean, and had spectacular views of beach from the top floor deck. Service was outstanding as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for a stop on the Oregon coast.โ

โWe accidentally locked the keys in the room when we went out for a bit, it was after the office closed but they were helpful at getting us another key at late night. Staff was nice when we checked in as well. Would stay here again when back in Newportโ
โWe were in a bind when traveling with two of couples and this motel had rooms available. Since we were all seniors the clerk was able to get us ground floor rooms. He was very helpful and accommodating. โ
โthe staff was SO nice and helpful!! you get what you pay for, the rooms need a bit of updating but overall a great place to stay and we had a great experience! โ
