"We had a wonderful stay at No. 5 Valley Lodge. The staffs were so helpful and friendly. Frankie was the best. He arranged everything for us from national park tickets, meals, transportation. Anything we ever needed. They were also available through wechat at all times if we had any questions. The hotel is far from downtown (if you want to go to other destinations) but very close to Zhangjiajie NP. Highly recommend this place and we would absolutely book again if we come back. "

"The owner made things very easy for us. The best host even we had a language barrier, she tried her best to help us. We had very generous breakfast. The property is very clean. The site location scenery are fantastic. We had a room with glass all around. We would recommend this place to everyone. We would like to suggest to Expedia is to put the adresse of the Warm place clearer with the phone number of the owner and her her name so we can contact her. We spent 3hours with the local taxi...

"Was here for two nights after four nights up in Wulingyuan, very friendly staff, spoke enough English to provide guidance and suggestions. They helped me with my Tianmen Mt. itinerary, path suggestion, and transportation. Room is very cozy and neat, provides toothbrush, comb, shower cap, body wash and shampoo where many places in China don't supply. I just wish the room can be warmer during the winter."

"Hard to find place. The taxi dropped me by a gate and said 'in there somewhere'. Had to ask 2 or 3 people to eventually find the hotel - but convenient once you know where it is! A lot of confusion on check-in, but eventually sorted out when the lady called her daughter who spoke good English. Didn't like the 'hole in the floor' toilet, but otherwise clean."

"Pros: The lobby/common area was quite nice and the location was great. Staff were nice and friendly. Cons: - VERY smelly toilet: they kept the doors of empty rooms open so there was no smell at the beginning. A few hours later it become one of the most stinky toilet I have ever had in a room. - There were insects coming out from a hole of the wall. "Good for family or group travel. Since it’s an apt, need to call owner before check in. Online tv setup, Could not watch cctv5 World Cup. Fridge and washing machine could use better maintenance."
