"A quality BnB, with a welcoming hostess. Terrific Continental Breakfast Plus -even homemade banana cake! Wide selection of coffees/teas, boiled eggs, yogurt, baked goods, cereals. We enjoyed staying here very much, but it is out of the way for visiting the national parks. It is about 40 minutes from Moab. But the scenery is so lovely that we didn’t mind the drive at all. Lots of good restaurants in Moab, but twice we chose to have light suppers with frozen dinners from the Moab grocery. You have free use of the huge kitchen, sitting room, dining area, and tv lounge."

"This is property is an amazing piece of vintage American history. We were told it was the first motel in Moab, built around 1954 because of the film industry. John Wayne, Henry Fonda, Anthony Quinn and a host of other actors stayed here. The motel maintains the charm of the ’50s but has modern conveniences and has been updated. If you’re looking for comfort and character, this is the place to stay. Better than staying in some sterile chain hotel. We walked to dinner both nights of our visit. They had free bikes to use around town and had a fire pit going each night. No problem parking and the staff were very friendly and helpful."
