The Pilgrim Inn is everything you're hoping for. Traditional setting, traditional vibe, and a team of staff that laugh hard, work hard, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Came in on a cruise ship. At 9:30 am we arrived by cab, not knowing if we would have to wait until 2:00 check in. They actually checked us in upon arrival and we were able to relax and not worry about dragging our luggage around. I would have given an excellent rating except for the carpeting that was quite stained in our room. The bar/restaurant was great with good food and beer. Saved us from going out.

Room was clean and well maintained. Fine for pre-cruise 1-night stay. This hotel operates to service cruise ship travelers. They do a great job of it, right down to staplers in the lobby for affixing baggage tags on embarkation day. They also have a direct phone line for taxi-to-ship booking, and provide average meals served by enthusiastic servers in a small dining area. Also of note is a large shopping mall with restaurants, and multi screen cinema directly across the road.
