Frostastaðavatn is a lake in the Highlands of Iceland, not far from the famous mountains of Landmannalaugar and the volcano Hekla. Frostastaðavatn is Icelandic for "lake of the frosty place". No frost there in early September, but I can only imagine what it looks like in Winter! Anyone going to Landmannalaugar should definitely make a stop here. The views here and near this location are stunning and otherworldly!
