Southern Suburbs, Melbourne hotel rooms at the Art Series

"Only one disabled parking spot for a 60-room hotel. They allowed people without disabled parking permits to use the only available disabled parking place. I raised this with management and they didn't care. I am disabled and need a disabled parking place. No convenience items in the rooms. You have to buy them from a vending machine, for example toothbrush is $7 x 4 of us = $28, can of coke $5.50. small water $3.50... no microwave or toaster in the room, the soap provided was like a bar of wax, smelt awful and left your skin feeling very dry...how cheap can you go? Better to go to a 5-star hotel and not get gouged and enjoy better amenities."

"Location perfect. Close to beach and places to eat. Main shopping area within walking distance. Parking straightforward. The accommodation itself ( 1 bed apartment) was poorly cleaned. Dog hairs on sofa, bed and chairs. Tables and kitchen worktops were in need of a good clean. Under sofa cushions full of last visitors remnants. Kitchen utensils dirty. Floors required vacuum. Dubious marks around toilet door. We did mention to staff on arrival and again on leaving as generally don’t like to post a negative review without giving people a chance to rectify but on our return only vacuum of carpet seemed to have been completed. Other reviews seem to be okay so maybe we just got unlucky with our room! "
