โAn incredible location but you definitely need a car to get there. Itโs high up in the hills. Narrow roads but easy to find with Google maps.
Host does not speak English but daughters do. Beautiful continental breakfast with sliced meats & cheese, yogurt, cereals and muesli, coffee, tea, jams & cake. โ
โBeautiful location/setting. Pool was nice at end of a long day. Staff were wonderful,we had an amazing evening enjoying a dinner and wine while taking in the view on our patio. Personal touch as only five guest rooms. Breakfast in morning was included and great way to start off the dayโ

โThe Chef went above and beyond coming to our table to explain how he created his dishes. The food was excellent. The front desk manager took time to come to our car and help us figure out how to pay the parking since it was all in Portuguese. Saved us!โ
โExcellent hotel, first impression very good the reception team, due to our Platanium membership upgraded the room. They also helped in staying an extra night and keeping same room and arranging a wine tasting and lunch at the hotels winery 10 minutes away. Bar and restaurant serve great food and drinks and you can look over the Duoro river from both, and also eat and drink on the terrace. โEstadia incrรญvel! Recepรงรฃo muito atenciosa, quarto limpo e confortรกvel, o hotel รฉ esteticamente lindo, parece aquelas casas de filme, muito fofo! Cafรฉ da manhรฃ รณtimo, lugar silencioso e super acolhedor. Parecia que tรญnhamos o hotel sรณ pra gente, piscina vazia e um clima adorรกvel. Nao tem estacionamento, mas na rua do hotel tem um supermercado onde tem convรชnio com o hotel e podemos colocar lรก sem taxa alguma. Voltarei com certeza! โ
โTorel Quinta da Vacaria was the most beautiful and best stay in Douro Valley. The hotel was an architectural marvel, with its state of the art spa to the most spectacular views of the river. But the best part was its amazing staff and impecable service. This had been one of the best hotels we have stayed in the world and we HIGHLY recommend it.โ

โThe most magical place I've been to! The hotel is an old estate and they have redone it beautifully. The staff was first class, the food delicious and there were so many activities to sign up for! Spa was impressive with the hydrotherapy, cold plunge and different saunas! We will definitely go back!!โ
