Quaint rooms with clean and comfortable amenities. Love the friendly and accommodating staff , ice and water machine is the icing on the cake. Short walk into town for shopping and dining options. Golf and pickle ball across the street . Great value for all the extras. โ
โI have stayed in many hotels, some very high-end, and Capt. Thompson's Resort is my favorite, by far. My room was directly on the water, facing Boldt Castle. The view is amazing, and the room and the linens (even the blankets, which hotels typically do not wash every time) smelled amazing. The location right in town is great too, you can walk to shops, restaurants and Uncle Sam's Boat Tours. I've stayed there probably 10 times, and I plan to go back year after year. Well worth the price!โ
โHad a wonderful 1 night stay. We stayed in the Lighthouse room, which was bright and cool. All rooms are on the second floor, so pack accordingly. The hallway, kitcgen and dining area upstairs are not airconditioned, but there was a breeze and fans. The view if the St Lawrence from there was so relaxing. Breakfast was delicious, but would recommend that they get better quality plastic ware. We would stay there again. We also did the sunset river cruise which was a very relaxing, affordable 2...
โThe Hart Hotel was perfect for us. We wanted a relaxing stay while visiting the Thousand Islands for the first time. The proprietor, Jamie, gave us a few recommendations on places to go. Everything he pointed us to was exactly what we needed...and didn't even know it. His recommendations on dining, places to see, things to do and when to do them worked out perfectly. The rooms were quiet. The prepared breakfast was exquisite. The house and property were perfect for getting away from it all....

โThe property was beautiful. Creek winding through the property, walking trails with flora and a fireplace to relax on a crisp August night. The rooms are dated. There is not a doorless walk in shower or granite counters. But the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the mattress was new and the staff were super friendly and accommodating.โ

โMy sister and I stayed 3 nights at Northern Family Motel. The motel room was on the small side, but had a queen bed which was very comfortable. The owners were friendly and pleasant to deal with. We would stay there again as it was convenient to what we needed to do in the area. However, the AC unit was quite noisy, so we used the fan option which was much quieter. All in all a pleasant stay.โ
โOur room was large and comfortable. The parking lot was also spacious and offered easy access to the facility. The staff was friendly and helpful. Downtown Potsdam, where the hotel is located, is largely deserted, with empty storefronts in most of the historic buildings. However, there is a beautiful riverfront park right next to the hotel that offers pleasant views of the water and surrounding scenery.
