Emerald Beach Resort

"I would not recommend anyone to stay at the Emerald Beach Resort. They did let us check in an hour early which was the only good part about the stay. We arrived on 5/27 and the 1st night my daughter was bit by something and her upper lip was swollen. We were told by jalonna we had to check out and wait for the room to be inspected before we could get another room. Essentially we lost 4 hours of time in our room at the resort. The 2nd room didn’t have running water. So we were given a 3rd room that didn’t have an iron or hairdryer dryer. Couldn’t fall the front desk because the phone didn’t work so we had to walk. They didn’t clean the room the next day or refresh our rags or towels, instead someone went inside and stole a shirt out of my luggage. It was a matching set and what was supposed to be the clothes I wore home on the plane. SMH. Staff was not very helpful in the situation saying they’re going to do an investigation but the manager has been sick and they were not sure when she would be back. I was leaving the next morning. When checking out they gave no receipt saying because I booked with Expedia, but they have a hold on my card for incidentals. I want to see what they charge because I have a video of us entering the room and one on us leaving and how we left it. The experience on the island was phenomenal but the resort would get 0 stars from me. The bar staff is also not friendly if your using the coupon the resort gives you for B1G1 free drinks."

"Was able to check into our room early. Enjoyed a complimentary frozen rum drink upon check in. Excellent view above the city with on site restaurant and pool. Breakfast included and spaces to park your vehicle. Had a large king memory foam bed. Just a small amount of ants on the bathroom sink but was taken care of immediately. Has a mini fridge and microwave for drinks and snacks as well. Well worth the money and just a 5-6 drive to mountain top and about 15 minutes to the airport."

"I can't complain the staff i encountered we all friendly event security. I didn't have them clean my room during my stay. But i did ask for fresh towels and got immediately. Rooms clean views lovely easy to get taxis if not driving. If you up for it walking distance from most hot spots and food."

"The room was beautiful! They upgraded us at no extra cost to us ! The food was Delicious and fresh. All the staff... every single one of them in maintenance, housekeeping, reception, bartenders, servers, culinary staff are so welcoming, amazing and so kind. You're very lucky to find such a wonderful group of people to represent the Pink Palm hotel in St Thomas🙏 I spoke with them all to thank them for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable!"

"We had to walk up the hill with our luggage because the taxi driver would not go up it. We thought it would be a good location because it was close to the dock to go to St. John. It was just 6/10ths of a mile but the walk was horrible because most of the way there are no sidewalks. We bought food from Moe's for supper and a good BBQ place just down the hill. Moe's has a buffet by the pound. Breakfast was as advertised, but some reviews said it was excellent. I'd say it was average with fresh made scrambled eggs, a meat, canned juice, and coffee. No decaf coffee or tea. The room was clean. The bed was fine. Only A/C in the bedroom but you could open the door to the living room to cool it. We let it be hot in the bathroom. I'd say I made a mistake booking this place based on price, but also no amenities like a swimming pool or gym. It cost $339 a night. We stayed two nights. I should have stayed in the place we previously had and paid for two taxi rides to the dock to go to St. John. We would have saved $328 minus the cost of the taxi going round trip and two breakfast's at a restaurant. I don't eat breakfast, but my wife does. If you have a car, there is parking. I liked the bench outside of the room we had because of the view. No real view from anywhere you would sit inside our unit. Nice view for breakfast. So, my review is mostly about value and not anything bad about the place. I gave three stars. If the price was lower I would give four stars."
