Teign estuary near Teignharvey The twisting road (in places more of a lane) that links Newton Abbot and Shaldon along the south side of the estuary is very charming, but many sections only offer occasional glimpses of the water. This is one such glimpse, over a gate just to the east of Teignharvey. The polytunnels and greenhouses up the hill beyond are at Lea Park, in SX9173.

A grand hotel with lovely views however whilst the public areas are rather splendid, some areas do look a little tired and in need of updating. This didn't detract from our stay though. Plentiful and varied breakfast and a great location
