Central for visiting the tourist attractions. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Food is good. Stairs to hotel room can be tricky with cases but rooms are available in an outside building. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect location. Clean rooms with iron, ironing board and hairdryer. Only stayed 1 night but will be back. Food is also delicious! The description says check in at 3 and check out at 10 but it’s actually 2pm check in and 11am check out!

Neat place above the pub. If staying in that section, the stairs are quite narrow to get checked luggage up - but doable. We booked through Expedia and it said no attendant on site - so there was confusion on where to leave our bags and we did not receive a response so we ended up paying Premier Inn to hold our bags. But when we got to the hotel after checkin time , there was reception in the Pub. She was very nice and got us checked in quickly. Place was old and could use a dusting of the windows. We used the fan to stay cool but would have liked to prop a window open for a breeze. Bed was comfy enough and had extra pillows. Overall nice stay for the night.

Very conveniently located. Good food, friendly and very helpful staff. We were able to park in one the few tight spots available alingside the white building. The doors accessing our room did not securely close although we were able to lock the room door once inside. Overall good stay.

Good but generic

I was expecting something a bit more boutique. This is a Greene King pub with rooms. Friendly staff. Good room, service and food. But not excellent.

Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities
Very disappointed on first view as it didn't match up to the picture on the website. We were surprised to see major outside work which began at six am each morning. Our bedrooms were in a separate building adjacent to the hotel. The facilities in the bedroom were adequate for two people but there was insufficient tea/milk also only one hand towel and water glass. One positive was we were very near to the theatre which was our main reason for visiting Stratford upon Avon. Otherwise our stay at the hotel was disappointing. We will be returning to the Pen and Parchment.
