I was fined for parking in the hotel car park even though I thought I or reception had registered my car on arrival. I was fined £60 after appealing and providing clear evidence that I was a guest at the hotel. So this ended up being a very expensive overnight stay. If you stay here you must get some evidence that you have registered your car for the car park. This hotel is well situated for Stratford but the state of the rooms and decor was disappointing given the cost.

We come to the Swan's Nest most years and have always been delighted with our stay. This year the visit was marred by our experience on the last night. We were asked to leave the restaurant and go to the Bear at about 10.35 the Bear asked us to move on to the Hotel Foyer at 11.00 where we were subjected to a very unpleasant man taking pictured of us and when we objected getting very confrontational. The hotel staff managed to stop an actual affray and called the Police who took a statement the next day. It turned out that the Police had been called to the same man the previous night so surely he should not have been there. I was also unhappy the man from the hotel asked when it was all over did we still want the Police to come and went away saying that it was on us!!!

The Swans Nest is excellently located, comfortable, clean and offers great service, including a bar that stays open until 11 pm serving good quality cask ale. Unfortunately, we were awoken at 8am by dogs yapping in an adjacent room. Nowadays it seems that catering for 'fury babies' takes precedence over offering guests an uninterrupted sleep.

Excellent weekend break
An impromptu visit at the weekend to watch an evening performance at the RSC. The hotel was excellent for a one night stay and a revitalising breakfast in the morning.

The staff were all friendly and helpful, the location was perfect for exploring Strarford upon Avon. Parking was convient and the hotel was very cleam with some luxury touches such as really comfortable pillows and impressive AC. A very nice experience.

Friendly staff and pleasant stay.
Good location with private parking which is the main reason I chose this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Nice pub linked to the hotel. The room was clean and a good size... The only two downsides of the room was the sink and shower which could do with an upgrade. Otherwise I cannot complain about my overall stay.
