Parts of the hotel were really lovely and the grounds were very nice. We stayed in the motor lodge part of the hotel which was very basic and drab but that was reflected in the price we paid so no complaints.

Overall the property is very nice but even midweek it is extremely crowded and noisy due to what appears to be an overnight business meeting with about fifty employees involved as well as a good sized wedding, which was not expected on a Thursday evening. Part of the property’s charm is that the building is very old, though rooms are still spacious, comfortable and spotless. Yet sound travels very easily in an old building and its hard to enjoy the experience when its so noisy.

Room was dated .. felt like 80s apartment. Carpet & furniture old , NO refrigerator in the room. I went and bought a small cooler to keep drinks cold. There was a balcony looking into wooded area, but noisy from nearby road / highway. Beds were comfortable.

Beautiful grounds and buildings. Room was very nice, but since the room can sleep 4 people an extra upolstered chair would have been nice. We had dinner in the Taproom. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Would certainly stay there again.

The property was period appropriate for Old Sturbridge Village style. It had bigger beautiful older buildings and then a section very similar to old time motor lodges. We loved it and plan to go back!!
