It is a great traveling experience.
Upon arrival, the hotel did not have my reservation at hand and seemed to have trouble locating it at first. I paid and went to my room. It stank of cigarettes. I went back downstairs to see why I wasn't in a no-smoking room as requested. The hotel said it was only a request and they did not have any rooms wih two beds that are no smoking.
1. I blame myself for not checking.
2. Expedia needs to know that the hotel has no no-smoking rooms with two beds.
I will never stay at the hotel again, nor will I ever use Expedia again.
The room was unfortunately for smokers and smelled smoke of course, the carpet felt dirty. The bathroom was tiny and coloured yellow instead of white and scratched. The whole room could use a restoration. The "spa" with onsen and sauna for ladies was the most disgusting thing I ever witnessed or smelled. The changing room was fine but when I entered the room with the onset I instantly wanted to turn in the door because it smelled terrible, like something had died in there. There was water dripping out from the pool walls, in one area of the pool wall it was all green and looked like mould. There was even a bug walking on the edge of the pool. I didn't even want to step in to the water, it looked and smelled like you would definitely get sick if you did it. The sauna was okay. The onsen should definitly be closed and renovated immediately, as I can't imagine it is supposed to simmer water out of the pool and smell awful inside.

Good service and very nice breakfast. We had a room looking out onto the lake which was nice. Room quite small and overall hotel feels like it is in need of a refurbishment soon. Everything clean and tidy though
