“I had an email last the night before we were going to say there was no food served in the hotel ! This was a red flag for me so I read the reviews….. wow they were awful . There was no way we were going to stay after reading them …
Didn’t get a refund but I think we had a lucky escape.
Only booked there because we had stayed there a few years back and it was lovely ( by reading the reviews it looks like it’s got new owners)”
“Reception staff fairly friendly bar staff not so we waited over 10 mins for a member of staff no show so I went to reception we’re both the reception lady and the lady from the bar were just casually chatting and no apology for keeping us waiting”
“I love old fashioned, traditional pubs & inns, and this was perfect. Wooden beams, creaky floors, etc.
The staff were wonderful and very helpful.
The meals were of high quality & decently priced, too, the breakfast exceptional!
Plenty of parking available. I will definitely visit there again.”
