Traveling with children, they are always looking forward to swimming in the hotel pool. In the way from Texas to Michigan, the pools at both hotels were closed for various reasons. So, it was quite disappointing to find the pool at Fairfield Inn also closed.

We arrived and our room door was ajar which was alarming. The sheets smelled very chemically treated, but the bed was comfortable. The room was dusty and there were roaches in the bathroom. The pool was moldy. Breakfast was ok, but the fruit was not fresh. Staff was very friendly.

The property is right off the interstate with gas and dining options close by. The beds were comfortable and no noise transfer between rooms. Breakfast was plentiful and hot.
